• Attend story brainstorms and pitches to both contribute to and facilitate the Promo Director’s vision within the scope of the feature film for each piece.
• Using storyboards and script for initial guidance, cut storyboards together with dialogue, sound effects and music to establish timing and continuity of each commercial, toolkit, interstitial, etc.
• Work with the Promo Director and the Layout TDs to determine how to translate storyboards into layout and subsequent animation.
• Attend scratch and production dialog recording sessions as well as sound design reviews to advise direction.
• Add new animation and lighting as they become available, replacing storyboards to review with the Promo Director. Update the pieces to reflect decisions from each review.

The Department of Film & Media at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach undergraduate-level studio courses in creative film and/or digital media production. Course themes could include areas in documentary/essay, dramatic fiction, animation, experimental or other expanded digital-media practices. Technique centered courses in cinematography, sound design and post-production also considered. The Video Editor role will work closely with Seeker video teams to edit non-fiction content ranging from studio productions, text driven narratives to field documentaries. A portion of this role also provides support as a Motion Graphics editor, as such this role requires an aptitude for video production in addition to a robust motion graphics skillset.
The producer gathers and selects news content, writes and copy edits stories, assembles the stories into a rundown, and creates graphics and visuals to complement the presentation of material for the on-air broadcast and digital platforms. This includes generating story ideas, writing and/or producing packages for air. Work closely with News Managers, Assignment Desk, news reporters and other newsroom employees on story conception and development and execution of story. Create and write content for digital platforms that cross-promote and/or supplement station’s news gathering efforts.
