BET is seeking a Talent Relations Coordinator to support the Original Programming Talent Relations & Awards team, based in Los Angeles. This role reports to two (2) Sr. Directors of Talent Relations and Talent Relations & Awards.
The Talent Relations Department is responsible for leading the network’s best-in-class strategy, outreach, and initiatives for all BET Networks’ (BET, BET+, BET Studios) Original Programming talent - both scripted and unscripted. This team partners closely with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure successful collaboration; spearheads all aspects of building loyal and prosperous relationships with high-profile and burgeoning BET talent and influencers, alike; and provides critical Talent Relations support to Network premieres, trade events, film festivals, and tentpole specials.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Calendar management
- Schedule department meetings and reconcile expenses in a timely manner
- Maintain talent databases and organizational grids
- Book talent travel and manage all logistics
- Assist in processing payments for talent and glam, as needed
- Provide team support in managing talent onsite at tentpoles, press events, film festivals, and premieres
- Maintain positive relationships with existing vendors, while identifying new beneficial partners
- Brainstorm unique talent gifting ideas (holiday, production, milestones, congratulatory, etc.)
- Assemble and mail talent start of production and premiere gifts
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of administrative & entertainment industry experience
- Fluency in commonly used cloud-based software: Microsoft 365, G-Suite, Slack, Airtable, Concur, etc.
Additional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with Wrike is a plus
- Discernment. You habitually exercise discretion with internal, sensitive, and confidential business; you're keenly aware of your location, audience, surroundings, and who might be listening
- Understand the nuances of working with executives, talent, and industry representatives
- Ability to travel, work evenings, holidays, and weekends, as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks across several projects/productions
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress productions and events
- Maintains professionalism among both talent and executives
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated, poised, patient, positive, and have superior interpersonal skills
