Job Description
The job includes operation of the master control center, announcing news and traffic reports, and producing the live afternoon talk show. Ideal candidates should possess an extremely good work ethic, be a self-starter, and highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Operation of master control room broadcasting a variety of live and pre-recorded radio programs, both local and syndicated.
- Producing the live and local afternoon talk program, including scheduling guests and assisting with preparation of talk show topics.
- Monitoring the operation of the transmitter and studio facilities, including compliance with all applicable company policies and FCC requirements
- Writing, gathering and announcing news and traffic reports
- Digital audio production of program elements and podcasts
- Monitoring Emergency Alert System equipment and broadcasting designated emergency alerts
Qualifications:
- Some previous on air experience preferred, but not required
- Digital audio production skills
- Proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft 365, on-air automation systems, and digital audio editing software and related products
- Flexibility in scheduling required
- Ability to connect with listeners via social media and appearances
- All new hires must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by date of hire, subject to legally mandated accommodations
