Job Description

Under the supervision of the Senior Marketing Director, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the Intl Product Management & Strategies for a portfolio of videogame releases in the international region.

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for representing the international region’s marketing needs in the global publishing plan process. The role covers all aspects of marketing planning for new product launches with close cross-team collaboration with both the U.S. based global marketing teams and the local territory teams.  This role is critical to ensure the successful planning and implementation of marketing programs across all international territory games teams, that ultimately drive the international games business revenues. The role supports all aspects of the Marketing planning process, including identifying and deploying pan-territory ideas / events, marketing asset management, managing regional Marketing budgets and ensuring appropriate transparency and communication with all stakeholders. 

The Senior Marketing Manager will also play a critical role in developing relationships with internal WBD partners (Franchise Group, theatrical, ad sales, streaming and consumer products) as well as external partners such as licensors and European First Party offices of Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft.

Your Role Accountabilities…
  • Leading all aspects of international marketing planning for a portfolio of products.
  • Adopting the international voice for that portfolio, collaborating with other teams, including but not limited to local territory games teams, Global Marketing (Burbank), Production, Legal, Finance and Operations.
  • Developing intimate knowledge of your games and competitive titles and be the product and brand evangelist in the region.
  • Supporting International territory teams, in respect of sharing information, providing guidance, support in implementing marketing plans, creating suites of assets, gaining broader stakeholder approvals and regular meetings so they can achieve their goals for each title.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of localised marketing assets to support Regional and Territory programs.
  • Partner with other stakeholders to ensure effective integrated planning across teams, including Digital Commerce, Analytics, Creative Services, Digital media, Comms, social media, Influencers and PR.
  • Develop and promote cross-territory (EMEA-wide) marketing initiatives (events, campaigns etc) and secure alignment with global marketing and other stakeholders. 
  • Budget Management.  Responsible for all aspects of planning and management of agreed Regional Marketing Budgets associated with a portfolio of products.  Manage regional budget allocations, in conjunction with other functional leads.  Work closely with territories to ensure transparency of budgets and investment plans.
  • Responsible for working with external pan European partners as required,  including First Parties in Europe (PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo), supporting all aspects of first party partnerships.
  • Working with the U.S, Analytics team, use data and insight to drive decision making, track performance of programs and review plans so as to drive constant optimisation of plans
  • Cross-divisional liaison with other WBD divisions where relevant to ensure integrated approach to each game which builds  franchise / IP value.
  • Providing Global reporting of Marketing activities as part of a structured Publishing process and on an adhoc basis as required
  • Management of a Marketing Manager, providing guidance on priorities and supporting their professional development.
Qualifications & Experience…
  • Experience of working in video game marketing industry desirable
  • Proven product/brand management experience
  • Confident inter-personal communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Be able to handle and take responsibility for a heavy, but varied workload with need for attention to detail and with a flexible approach
  • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a calm and collected manner
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Some PR experience or experience working with talent is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of and experience in social media or digital marketing is preferred
  • Ability to take initiative, develop work processes, provide marketing analyses and summary reports as necessary.
  • Strong team player & able to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • A deep interest in and demonstrable knowledge of the video game business will be a pre-requisite to success in this role.
