Job Description

You will ensure that all the aspects of the production are executed in a timely manner, of high quality and in accordance with the schedule by managing and supporting the crew and facilitating collaboration between departments. This role will be remote until we move back to studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Producer
• Managing Production Coordinators, Director and all departmental Supervisors
• Managing day-to-day operations of the production
• Communicating with stakeholder and crew members on the production status, current priorities and deadlines
• Overseeing cross-departmental communication and workflow to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
• Strategizing with department leads and other members of management to resolve any production issues
• Assisting in optimizing the efficiency of each department
• Creating a detailed weekly production report
• Liaising with clients and managing deliveries
• Organizing production meetings, taking notes, and following up on next steps with appropriate parties
• Mentoring and supporting Production Coordinators
• Promoting department morale and motivation
• Coordinating with IT regarding technical needs of the crew
• Creating and monitoring departmental micro-schedules in line with the master production schedule as needed
  Managing the Director’s time and priorities
• Tracking production progress on a daily basis and generating progress reports
• Coordinating and tracking deliveries and notes
• Assisting in maintaining crew and credit lists
• Liaising with clients as necessary
• And other tasks typically expected of a production manager

Key Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in managing serialized animation production
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Shotgun or similar asset management systems
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize according to situation
• Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to foresee potential issues and plan appropriately to avoid them
• In-depth understanding of 2D animation production pipeline and workflow
• Experienced in using Excel, Word, Acrobat, Outlook, Calendar, Shotgun
• Strong understanding of production schedule and dependencies between various tasks and departments
