Summary
As Production Assistant, you will work closely with the TODAY editorial team and control room teams on the rundown of the broadcast. You will also serve as a resource for vacation and other PTO coverage for essential broadcast positions.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Create Show Rundown and other supporting paperwork
- Work directly with control room production team
- Working directly with producers on segments
- Gathering elements for segments
- Have strong editorial judgement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of news production and/or administrative experience.
- Exceptional computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and social media.
- Must have flexible schedule and be available on holidays and weekends when needed.
- Strong interest in news, entertainment, and current events.

- Must be willing to work in New York City.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news. The ability to work overtime, as needed.

- Awareness of NBC News programs, on-air correspondents, policies, guidelines and practices.
- Knowledge of iNews, AVID Interplay and editing software.
- Knowledge of Frequency software.
