We are looking for someone who is eager to learn about the many facets of local television and can use our technology to create dynamic, energetic, and engaging content.
This is a “foot-in-the-door”, part-time position that will get you started in the world of broadcast television. A reliable, self-starter in this job will be able to gain experience in all technical areas, with opportunities to learn about newscast production.
Responsibilities:
This is a “foot-in-the-door”, part-time position that will get you started in the world of broadcast television. A reliable, self-starter in this job will be able to gain experience in all technical areas, with opportunities to learn about newscast production.
Responsibilities:
- This is an evening shift and will include weekend shows. Shift is generally 4:00 pm to 11:00pm.
- Operation of studio and control room equipment for live newscasts audio console.
- Floor direction as needed, as well as operation of our audio console and robotic studio cameras.
- Train to edit and operate Sony Video switcher as needed.
- Must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
- Change studio lamps.
- Other broadcast production duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in college or professional broadcasting environments.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to work with a flexible schedule is a must. Will require evenings, weekends and holidays. Reliability is a MUST.
- Ability to work with a team of people to achieve clean newscasts.
- Ability to adapt and quickly change on the fly for breaking news and unexpected special events.
- Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
- Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
- Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
