Job Description

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join and lead our dynamic team of talented professionals. This individual will work under the Dhar Mann brand supporting Dhar Mann Studios, LiveGlam, and Ella’s World. The ideal person will have strong communication and people skills. They will also have an in-depth understanding of human resources best practices and knowledge of state, local and federal labor laws. The ideal person will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy. This individual will work closely with all departments to ensure employees are following company policies and that training needs are being met.  Ultimately, this individual will thrive in a fast paced and rapidly  growing environment with a strong ability to work independently on a broad variety of projects.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:
  • Ensuring smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
  • Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records and communications
  • Ensuring employees follow all policies and procedures
  • Evaluating production work practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the applicable health and safety regulatory requirements.
  • Working closely with Accounting department to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy 
  • Overseeing and ensuring that our employee files are being kept up to date and organized via BambooHR
  • Overseeing and maintaining company and employee access (ie; new subscriptions, passwords, accounts)
  • Partnering with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
  • Reviewing all company processes quarterly to ensure they are efficient and streamlined
  • Handling all state and federal paperwork requests in a timely fashion (ie; unemployment claims, and employment verifications)
  • Researching and staying current with local, state and federal regulations and laws
  • Overseeing and creating team building activities or events quarterly, to help promote a healthy and positive work environment
  • Working closely with Team Development to ensure that all state mandated employee training is given on time. Additionally, create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Assessing reports provided by Leadership team to determine employee performance and training needs
  • Overseeing all company insurance policies such as workers compensation and general liability 
  • Acting as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers
  • Oversees the talent acquisition process, which  includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Organizing and scheduling new hire orientations and onboardings 
  • Creating all company policies, recommending new ones and ensuring they are staying up to date 
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Overseeing employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Attending interdepartmental meetings with other managers
  • Analyzing trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Performing other duties as assigned                    
WHAT YOU HAVE:
  • A minimum of 3 years working as a Human Resources Manager or similar role within an entertainment production studio; preferred but not required  
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Covid-19 safety protocols 
  • Knowledge of state and local employment law and human resources responsibilities
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
WHO OVERSEES YOU:
The Human Resources Manager will report directly to the Human Resources Senior Manager

WHO YOU OVERSEE:
The Human Resources Manager oversees the Human Resources Team

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:
All the action takes place at our BRAND NEW studio in Burbank, CA

Compensation: $40 - $45 per hour

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
This a full-time role, specific schedule times will be discussed during the interview
