Job Description

FOX Deportes is looking for a Freelance On-Air Promo Coordinator to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. With guidance from the OAP management team, the OAP Coordinator is responsible for clearly and effectively communicating all details pertaining to assets that must be produced by the department. You must have extreme attention to detail to ensure that all information flows with excellent grammar and accuracy.   
Under minimal supervision, the coordinator is responsible for the creation, distribution, and daily upkeep of promo versioning lists and promo cut sheets.  The coordinator will work with the management team to determine the appropriate promo versions and durations to produce that will maximize on-air strategy and placement and communicate ongoing changes to producers, operations, and management team.  The coordinator will work closely with the Manager of Media and Operations on leading the workflow of daily changes and approvals.   

The coordinator will interact with all FOX Deportes departments including Marketing, Digital, Programming, Production, Legal, Commercial Administration, and Standards & Practices among others.  They will actively participate in the planning and production of promotional campaigns alongside other departments.  The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining organized records and reports of all On-Air Promotions campaigns. 

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Keep track of project deadlines, maintains the daily projects list and distributes promo versioning lists to OAP team accordingly 
  • Lead daily department meetings to discuss and track progress of daily projects 
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Strategy Coordinator to ensure that promos are scheduled according to the strategy put forth by Management 
  • Keep everyone in the OAP team informed and knows plan of action 
  • Keep track of programming changes and promptly notifies OAP team and consults with management for immediate plan of action 
  • Maintain Promo Flow project management system throughout the day with the most up-to-date information 
  • Ensure that the most up-to-date information is provided and help prevent errors or misinformation to viewers 
  • Coordinate the promo delivery to internal departments and cross channel partners and communicate our scheduling strategy   
  • Brand consistency is created across all platforms (Online, On & Off-Air, and Cross Channel) 
  • Create monthly and upon-request reporting of produced and scheduled promos along with campaign recaps and collecting of data from other departments    
  • Ensure accurate department records and highlights results 
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • 2-3 years of experience in Cable/Broadcast in a project management or administrative role 
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills 
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (oral and written) 
  • Basic math skills 
  • Extreme attention to details 
  • Computer savvy & proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment that constantly changes and maintains a positive, helpful and pro-active disposition 
  • Be able to work from home or in-person as needed and have a flexible schedule 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a remote team environment is essential 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills  
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
  • Bachelors in television production or a related field 
  • Proficient knowledge of sports 
  • Experience with Salesforce or other project management 
  • Knowledge of production process and network operations 
  • Knowledge of Grip It, On-Air or other traffic log software
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $20.75-25.00 per hour.
