Summary

The Casting Coordinator reports to the Casting APM and is responsible for the crewing of all projects and maintaining the casting calendar to ensure accuracy of information for multi-department use.

Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Casting Calendar & Artist focused
  • Ensures accurate tracking of information that’s cross checked amongst departments
  • Maintains the casting calendar to ensure it always reflects the current and projected crewing
  • Ensure the casting calendar is updated daily and represents current available information for all departments that require it i.e. Finance, Production
  • Works with Production, Finance & HR to ensure calendar is cross-checked and consistent information is held across all departments with correct information at all times
  • Remaining informed on each project and what the is required from all the teams
  • Track artist’s time off / absences and obtain approvals from the PM/Supervisors
  • Update IMDB team projects once the projects are released
  • Inform IT and Facilities of new starters joining or moving to an on or off-site show to ensure they are organized and equipped at their location at HQ or other location with the re/deactivation of their HQ badge access/parking
  • General production administration duties as required
  • Work directly with Artist Management/HR to liaise with Artists on assignments to ensure best fit for shows requirements
  • Sends out weekly Artist assignment report
  • Informs artists of assignments
Essential Skills:
  • Production experience; ideally within animation, VFX
  • Full understanding of animation skill-sets a must; Animation training / knowledge desirable
  • Experience dealing with artists and talent
  • Proficiency with Excel an absolute must
  • Familiar with FileMaker Pro or another database software is a plus
