Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional camera work to meet the requirements of all Newshub platforms, delivering a high quality of shooting, lighting and sound on all shows
  • Provide high quality live linking and feeding in the field to all Newshub platforms to meet deadlines
  • Work alongside the Auckland Camera team Leader in workflow style and brand improvements
  • Provide editing services in the field as/when required
  • Keeping all allocated vehicles and shared equipment maintained safe, and secure at all times
  • To always conduct oneself in a professional manner when representing Newshub
  • Daily duties assigned by the National news desk
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Professional, motivated and creative News Camera Operator
  • Extensive knowledge of digital broadcasting, editing and live production techniques such as bonded cellular systems (LiveU)/linking/SNG/feeding
  • A solid technical knowledge of camera operation, audio, lighting, editing and all linking techniques
  • To always be adaptable and informed to ensure the best possible outcome on given assignments
  • To strive to learn new techniques and operation of new equipment
  • Have the flexibility to respond to an ever changing working environment
  • Have the ability to work unsupervised or and as part of a team
  • Ability to cope with long working hours
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with the National desk, reporters and colleagues
  • Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner in all working situations
  • Excellent workflow and time management skills
  • Uphold the company values and expected behaviours in all undertakings related to your employment
