KDKA-TV has an opening for a Technical Specialist in the Broadcast Operations and Engineering Department.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Working in a LIVE studio environment on newscasts, public affairs shows, magazine-style shows, etc.
- Collaborating with members of the news and creative services departments on show execution to carry out their vision for on-air.
- Customer Service to other groups, including effectively and quickly solving and correcting issues.
- This position will include duties such as operating Sony ELC production assistance and associated equipment, floor managing, teleprompter, set changes, cleaning and maintenance of set pieces, etc.
- All aspects of this position require general computer knowledge.
- Ability to react quickly and accurately to a wide-ranging, fast-paced newscast.
- Ability to accept direction from multiple sources while maintaining focus on tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years related experience required.
- College education or a trade school diploma in Production, Project Management is a plus, or equivalent experience is required.
