Job Description

The Production Manager position with Disney Live Entertainment Broadcast Production oversee and produce all logistical, technical, budgetary, and operational-related aspects of multi-media broadcast productions, content creations, radio, television, and live/streaming television projects and special media-driven global events as part of an entertainment production team. 

This is a full-time role and you will report to the Managing Producer

Responsibilities/You Will
  • Leverage existing contracts and rates with consultants/vendors
  • Manage the department’s broadcast specialists, satellite technicians, consultants, and other key personnel for all broadcast projects as directed
  • Provide clear and timely communications to appropriate partners on the impact of any and all changes.
  • Responsible for constant, accurate monitoring of project status as to timelines, schedules, budgets, scope updates, billings, and meetings, and for adjustments as necessary to keep on time and on budget 
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have
  • Minimum of 5 years directly related professional experience with an emphasis in multi-media broadcast, live television, and radio production 
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience 
  • Willingness and ability for extensive travel, both Domestic & International, with the possibility of late notice
  • Willingness and aptitude for learning and utilizing new software applications 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Demonstrated budget and scheduling management skills, with attention to detail 
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and decision-making skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills 
  • Strong delegation, partnering, and negotiation skills 
  • Problem-solving skills and continuous improvement process skills 
  • Proven ability to initiate, organize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner 
  • Demonstrated strong partnering, coaching, and mentoring skills 
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including late schedules changes, weekends, and holidays 
  • Proficiency with various software/computer programs including MS Office suite, Outlook, Internet, Visio, and Filemaker Pro  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast standards, practices, production and post-production technical equipment, labor, and nomenclature
Required Education 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with Walt Disney World Resort collective bargaining agreements 
  • Experience with Walt Disney World Resort operational guidelines 
  • Experience with the process of Special Event planning, including how it is impacted by Broadcast/ Video Production 
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of Disney Live Entertainment policies and procedures 
  • Knowledge of Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World property and existing entertainment/broadcast infrastructure 
  • Professional Broadcast production experience outside the Walt Disney Company 
  • Broadcast industry contacts and relationships with key partners, contractors, and vendors 
  • Hands-on experience with telecommunications, transmissions, and broadcast equipment
