We ask reporters to "own" their stories - to be curious, and make contacts in the community who become dependable sources for daily story pitches. These enterprise stories are the backbone of our operation. Your training will never stop at WALB. You will get basic training on all newsroom systems and all expectations. You will also get company training and unmatched opportunities that will allow you to continue to learn and grow. If you decide to leave WALB, you will be uniquely qualified to take your skillset to bigger markets.
