Joint Junior Motion Graphics Artist will have the technical as well as creative abilities to design and animate original 2D motion graphic content for all forms of media and manage and create integrated motion graphics in support of the broadcast, interactive, social and internal video needs of W&K New York.
Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions include but are not limited to:
Joint Junior Motion Graphics Artist will have the technical as well as creative abilities to design and animate original 2D motion graphic content for all forms of media and manage and create integrated motion graphics in support of the broadcast, interactive, social and internal video needs of W&K New York.
Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions include but are not limited to:
- Must be fluent in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Present a relevant graphics reel of illustrated/designed elements in the motion space.
- Must be able to collaborate with and/or take direction from creative teams and editors.
- Must have the ability to design and conceptualize visual treatments based on a briefing from the creative team or editor.
- Must be able to assess project scope, and if/when it exceeds internal capabilities, communicate with Lead Motion Designer & Joint Producer to assemble and partner with a team of appropriate freelance support.
- Must be proactive, resourceful, inventive, and willing to take on multiple roles as projects dictate.
- General knowledge of production (film and digital) workflow and best practices necessary.
- Will be expected to do rotoscoping, compositing, and other VFX-centric work compatible with Adobe suite tools and plug-ins
- Knowledge/interest in additional animation, VFX and editorial tools helpful, including 3d, offline editing in Premier, and AI.
- Knowledge of broadcast, traditional web, social media & cinema mastering and standards necessary.
- Expected to remain current on all industry standard software, hardware and protocols. Will be responsible for working with Joint Executive Producer to order and keep equipment current, and maintaining seamless workflow with the editorial department.
