Job Description
MSNBC is looking for an experienced Coordinating Platforms Producer for the Digital team.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work across MSNBC platforms including linear, digital and streaming to create content that aligns with the brand identity of MSNBC.
- Serve as the shift leader for the team curating MSNBC’s digital platforms with a specific focus on homepage placement, headlines, art and photos.
- Ensure a lively mix of content and distribute that content across partner platforms including social, Apple News, SmartNews
- Strategize with analytics and SEO teams in real-time to lead decision making on the programming of our digital platforms
- Work on long-term planning for special events and projects
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in digital journalism and preferably cable news
- Thorough knowledge of current events, US politics, geopolitics, foreign policy and history
Desired Qualifications:
- Sound journalistic judgment
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required
- Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and meet multiple daily deadlines
Additional Job Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends
- Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
- Salary range: $110,000-$125,000
