Job Description
Under the direction of the Artistic Director and the Director, the Character Designer plays an essential role in pre-production. They create the concept arts and illustrations of the sets and environments which will serve as a basis for the 3D artists. He works in collaboration with the pre-production teams to ensure the delivery of content whose quality meets the objectives defined by each film.
Specializing in environment design, he shares his creative vision thanks to his good understanding of script expectations and knows how to be proactive on the details of environments.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- Propose original creations, while respecting the style and vision of the Director
- Clearly define the specificities of the environments, integrate key landscapes and references
- Exploit all the elements of a given environment (locality, landscape, light, colors, atmosphere) to respond to the graphic intentions of the project
- Carry out the requested corrections using analytical skills
- Maintain the schedule and production quotas communicated by the Delegate Producer or the coordination team
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the concept of sets and environments
- Excellent ability to adapt to a range of different styles
- Good command of 2D software
- Knowledge of 3D is a real asset
- Be comfortable in black and white as well as color
