Job Description
This freelance position will be responsible for digitizing archival content using the new SAMMA automated ingest system and the Archives Media Asset Management (MAM) system.
- This person will be trained to pull and clean the cassette tapes and confirm the content needs to be digitized in the MAM system.
- They will apply new barcodes to the cassette and scan them into the ingest system, monitor their progress and then confirm the files were created properly.
- They will then move the newly created files to an automatic watch folder which will send them to AWS.
- They will then mark these ingested assets as complete in the MAM system and on an associated excel document.
Requirements:
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends (M-Thurs 4:30pm – 1:00am, Sunday flexible schedule)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience MS office software suite
- Knowledge of videotape,file formats and video signals a plus
