Job Description

In the DreamWorks Internship Program, interns work in an engaging and exciting environment alongside creative leaders and artists who are committed to building an inclusive and collaborative culture. Interns are immersed into TV and Feature animated productions while gaining hands-on experience at our studio. DreamWorks Animation seeks an Intern for the TV Music Department. The Intern will gain knowledge of the music process and how it is applied for film and TV. The intern will have an insight into day to day production needs and administrative duties crucial to the process.

Summer 2023 TV Music Internship: 

Program Dates: June 20, 2023 - August 25, 2023
Time Commitment: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Format: Hybrid

Job Description
Responsibilities: "What would you say you do here?”
  • The Music Intern will have the opportunity to work on processing cue sheets, manage assets and handle music publishing requests
  • Breaking down scripts
  • Selecting, uploading and organizing the DWATV music library
  • Watching our content to help review cue sheets
  • Pulling music for our editorial team
  • Organizing our administrative files
  • Observing recording sessions, spotting sessions and watching music preview for educational purposes
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: “What do I need to have in order to do this job?”
  • Pop culture/media savvy with knowledge of artists and their work
  • Strong computer proficiency, including knowledge of programs like Word, Excel, and Gmail
  • Professional manner and excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and have the ability to multitask
  • Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date) studying Music/Music Industry/Business of Music (or something related)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be willing to work in Glendale, California
  • Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols
Desired Qualifications: “What can I offer?”
  • Film/TV/Media majors or Music Industry majors preferred
  • Strong curiosity about a career in music and/or music administration
  • Current class standing of Junior or above (or equivalent)
Hourly Rate: $16.90

Hybrid: This position is open to be completed Hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
