Job Description
We are looking for a creative who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, team-oriented mindset and passion for great filmmaking that define ILM.
Primary Responsibilities
- Works with the production team (Supervisors and Leads) to execute the desired look of CG Assets
- Creates the textures, colors, and organic surface qualities needed in the completion of CG creatures and hard-surface models used in production
- Participates as a team member in determining various design solutions; provides feedback to other members of the production by attending dailies on a regular basis
- Work closely with Art Directors, Modelers, and Look-Development TD's in achieving desired look of models
- Maintains or exceeds consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work
- Ability to source, collect and analyze reference material
- Mentor Junior and Mid Level Artists
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in high-end feature film visual effects
- Demo reel and portfolio showing knowledge and experience in texture painting, look development and/or concept art

Required Technical Skills
- Familiarity with film production; computer graphics
- Strong proficiency in Maya, UV unwrapping tools, Mari, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance
- Proficient in Katana experience
- Basic knowledge of Physical Based Shading principles and lighting required
- Ability to run turntables and perform lookdev/shader adjustments required
Preferred Skills / Competencies
- Look Development and Shading skills a plus
- Hair Grooming / Shading skills a plus
- Modeling skills a plus
