Job Description
From the initial contact through onset productions, the VP Stage Producer works to keep all stakeholders on the project informed and moving in the same direction. Once our projects move to stage, the VP Producer represents thePrysm leadership and, together with the Virtual Production Supervisor, leads the Virtual Production team. Primary responsibility is leadership, budget and managing overall Client relationship.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead team of Virtual Production stage staff, including Virtual Production Supervisor and Production support in setting priorities for on-stage Virtual Production shoots
- Serve as the primary liaison to bid, budget, plan and schedule projects with clients and key stakeholders that represent production and Prysm internal teams
- Strategize with clients on script breakdowns, storyboards, previz, artwork, etc as well as technical requirements for virtual production projects
- Manage crew performance and provide feedback appropriately in partnership with the management team
- Collaborate with the Virtual Studios Sales and Business Development on project pipeline
- Track and report progress of work, budget, and maintain schedule updates
- Participate and oversee work on-set as required
- Collaborate with the Sales team to prepare bids for upcoming projects
- Create and distribute paperwork that tracks and communicates project goals and progress to stakeholders
- Build working relationships with all departments of the NEP Virtual Studios organization to ensure clear communication of deadlines, requirements and goals of the project
- Collaborate with the NEP Virtual Studios marketing team to help with the company’s marketing campaigns
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Notes:
- The role may require weekend work depending on show schedules
- The role may also require:
○ Travel for client meetings and/or plate shoot
○ Work on the same schedule as first or second unit production
Position Requirements:
- 8 years on set experience and familiarity with on set roles and responsibilities
- Experience budgeting, scheduling and planning large scale projects from initial client contact to successful production
- Experience in production management/producing of large scale/feature or episodic productions
- Strong working knowledge of Visual Effects and/or Virtual Production techniques and terminology
- Leadership experience in advanced technical and creative production
- Must possess very strong organizational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines
- Experience with Unreal Engine or other Real Time Engine
