TooFab, a leading entertainment news website, is looking to hire a seasoned Producer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to produce fast accurate copy in a high-velocity newsroom, in addition to the honed skills of a reporter capable of breaking stories, leveraging industry contacts for exclusives, and exploiting a deep knowledge of pop culture trends. A nose for news, fluency with SEO best practices, enterprising stories and working closely with editors under tight deadlines are all a part of this dynamic role.
This position is for a news writer with strong writing skills, impeccable communication, and the sharpened instincts of a journalist. The right candidate will seamlessly pivot from writing flawless copy, to conducting interviews, producing dynamic digital news packages, finding unique angles on trending topics, and sourcing their own breaking stories.
This is an in-office role with the opportunity for an entertainment reporter to bring their proven expertise to TMZ’s sister site. You must have an established track-record of breaking, writing, and producing pop culture news for top-line media outlets.

Responsibilities:
- Source breaking news
- Produce dynamic digital news packages
- Write articles in a fast-paced newsroom
- Utilize industry contacts for interviews and exclusives
- Identify unique angles and story opportunities on trending topics to produce impactful content
- Leverage data insights for story opportunities
- Copyediting the work of other reporters and occasionally overseeing the work of Associate Producers
Requirements:
- 8 - 10 years (minimum) experience working as an Entertainment News Writer
- Ability to produce flawless news copy at the high-velocity pace of a newsroom
- Demonstrated ability to enterprise impactful pop culture news stories
- Extensive experience shift editing at a news desk
- Ability to bring in exclusives via industry contacts
- Experience publishing articles under tight deadlines
- Must be highly knowledgeable about pop culture – from TV to movies to
- politics
- Experience with human interest and celebrity crime stories, a plus
- Experience with web content management systems
- Experience with Photoshop
- Flexibility to work weekends
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $67,600.00-82,100.00 annually for California.
