Job Description
As an intern for this team, you will be primarily be responsible to ensure the day to day business is flowing efficiently; that the President has what is needed to effectively collaborate with the various teams across the organization and within the industry; making sure that the President is properly informed/prepared to be able to make timely business critical decisions regarding the content that is being pushed from the brand to the streaming service. You will also provide additional support to the Scripted and Unscripted programming teams as they are actively developing the Onyx Collective slate of content.
Responsibilities Include:
- Database Management – including Airtable, Contacts and Distribution Lists Updates
- Reading incoming scripts and provide thoughtful feedback in meetings
- Research and prepare itineraries for travel, and info sheets for President’s various internal and external meetings
- Set and attend team meetings to captures notes as needed
- Assist the team with administrative tasks
- Regular communication with President and programming teams to stay informed of priorities and needs
What we are looking for…
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – including SharePoint, Outlook, Excel; G-Suite; Airtable
- Self-starter who is highly organized with acute attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency, confidentiality, and accountability
- Comfortable working in a sometimes ambiguous, always fast paced / start up environment
- Ability to be flexible (pulled in many directions)
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience in and passion for television development
- Familiarity with the entertainment industry or is interested growing in the industry (e.g. creative development space)
- Experience in developing and implementing processes
- Experience working with creative executives and senior leadership
Preferred Education:
- Senior-level standing or a recent graduate within 6 months
Additional Information:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Program length -- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2024 through June 2024
- Work details -- Must be able to work full time hours (approximately 40 per week) Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship
- Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
- Housing -- Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Los Angeles, CA area
- Transportation -- Must have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $21.70 per hour.
