The Junior Finishing Preditor is an entry level position that will play a key role in packaging approved creative promotions and marketing materials into finished content for use all over the world.
This will include retagging end cards, replacing dialogue and/or subtitles and localizing motion graphics cards to meet the promotional needs of multiple departments throughout the organization. Basic video editing skills are essential, in addition to being a strong collaborative partner eager to learn and work with content, creative and marketing team members. An ideal candidate will be able to work independently, focusing on key tasks while tracking essential details in a fast-paced, high demand environment.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with clients, peers and production personnel on all projects to generate high quality marketing material
• Customize existing marketing assets for multiple uses, including digital and social media formats
• Ability to navigate multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Uphold high level of standards to help maintain accuracy and proficiency for all work
• Engage active knowledge of Adobe Premiere and companion applications throughout each project
• Generate and ingest from media transport bundles (OMF, AAF, EDL, XML) to initiate and transfer projects to other editing systems
• Exhibit disciplined metadata management and archiving skills across projects, applications, and databases to optimize collaboration
• Utilize broadcast signal equipment to measure & evaluate video/audio content to match outgoing delivery requirements and SMPTE, ATSC, NTSC recommended practices
• Troubleshoot as required NLE workstation, applications, and performance of connected services, to determine whether escalation is required
• This is a swing shift position. Hours will be approximately 4pm to 12:30am, Monday - Friday
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree (or similar work experience) with emphasis in Film, Digital Media and/or Television Production
• 1-3 years of contemporary employment in post-production as a video editor/producer for content placed to a national distribution broadcast network or advertising agency
• Experience editing with multiple video tracks, picture effects, contributed motion graphics and multiple discreet audio channels
• Superior time management skills in a time sensitive environment essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
