Job Description
The role encompasses the following duties:
  • Oversee day-to-day business and operations strategy across NBC News podcast portfolio
  • Deliver award-winning, IP-generating content that highlights the journalism of the NBC News Group
  • Work in close coordination with internal and external partners to effectuate continued strategic growth and success of podcast portfolio
  • Manage & coordinate slate of original podcasts across News Group
  • Work with internal business development and marketing teams to evolve and implement growth strategies across portfolio
  • Liaise regularly with News Group brand leaders to ensure consistent communication & output
  • Manage relationships with external partners and serve as primary editorial liaison
  • Manage core staff & shared resources central to audio production across brands
  • Serve as brand leader & executive producer for NBC News Studios original podcasts
  • Oversee development of original NBC News Studios podcasts
  • Supervise creation and implementation of production budgets and schedules
  • Liaise with external partners in efforts to strategically identify coproduction opportunities
  • Serve as internal & external representative of NBC News Studios podcasts
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience managing longform projects, and podcasting logistics
  • Strong editorial and storytelling skills
  • Ability to pay precise attention to details and have a methodical approach to work
  • Able to deal with unexpected circumstances and prepare workable alternative plans
  • Have the ability to lead and motivate others
  • Strong knowledge of emerging platform and documentary landscapes
  • Solid knowledge of new shooting techniques, workflows and equipment

  • Hybrid: This Position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days a week
Salary range: $180,000-250,000; bonus-eligible.
