20/20 is looking for a Field Producer. Field producer responsibilities include providing logistical, field and editorial support for all aspects of news magazine production.
Field producer responsibilities include providing logistical, field and editorial support for all aspects of news magazine production. The expectation is that the candidate will be comfortable wearing many hats. That includes, but is not limited to- setting up and managing field shoots, gathering and organizing elements for edit, booking and interviewing, supporting editors, and writing. Further, candidates are expected to possess strong skills in working well with others, time management, and communication. Field producers may be asked to travel on short notice and join 2020 news specials. Candidates are also expected to foster an inclusive and positive work environment.
Candidates must exhibit superior news judgement, creativity, and resourcefulness. Field producers need to have extensive production and shoot experience and have a strong ethical core. They need to be able to visualize our shows in creative ways to propel the narrative through their work. Candidates must be experienced self-starters who are able to work under intense pressure against a deadline. A genuine interest in 2020 and 2020 Specials content is a must.
Candidates must also have:
- 5 years Longform Documentary experience
- Extensive media management and avid experience
- Ability to organize, transmit and manage extensive data
- Superior communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in New York is $82,400 - $113,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
