The Job:
As an Associate Producer, you’ll be part of a growing team focused on building great games on time and at a high quality. You will support the Producer, Senior, and/or Executive Producer with the day-to-day management of internal and external development teams and coordinating the development pipeline across all departments. This includes scheduling and tracking assets and tasks against their designated deadlines, reporting statuses and potential risks, creating or maintaining tracking systems, acting as a coordinator for group meetings, and other emergent tasks related to communication and coordination of the assigned project teams.
The Daily:
- Ensure that assigned game, team, and feature goals determined by the senior producers are being met.
- Work with senior production, leads, and the team to develop and maintain a clear project schedule.
- Assist the production team in identifying, tracking, and actively mitigating issues that could put project goals or schedule at risk.
- Support the team daily by managing meetings, taking notes, following up on action items, and removing roadblocks.
- Manage relationships and delivery schedules of outside vendors while acting as a coordination and communication conduit for any assigned initiatives.
- Champion and support a positive studio culture built around communication, collaboration, and trust.
The Essentials:
- College degree or equivalent practical experience in game development, production/project management, or other relevant discipline.
- Independent, resourceful, and self-directed; able to keep on an assigned track without regular supervision with autonomy, in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management, coordination, and work ethic required to provide support to multiple teams including business development, marketing, PR, operations, creative, QA, and more.
- Must excel at mental context shifting to aid in completing multiple concurrent tasks and managing multiple project initiatives.
- Must have a basic understanding of multiple production methodologies and development practices including: Agile, Waterfall, Kanban, etc.
Nice to haves:
- At least 2 years of experience working as an Assistant Producer, Project Manager, Production Coordinator, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with project management softwares such as JIRA, Hansoft, Trello, etc. and/or other database software such as Airtable.
- Comfortable using Google Drive, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Experience with Unreal Game Engine and/or prior work on AAA, Free-to-Play, or cross platform games.
- Experience collaborating with external stakeholders, such as licensors and/or filmmakers.
- Experience with outsourcing and dealing with external vendors and partners.
- Understanding of art and content creation pipelines.
- A love and passion for games, game development, and the game business in general. Experienced and/or knowledgeable about a wide range of game genres popular in today’s market including PC, console, and mobile.
- Spellcasting level 5+ with an emphasis on time manipulation.
In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $52,503.00 - $97,506.00 salary per year.
