Job Description

The Associate Content Producer is a full-time, project-based position. Primarily responsible for the coordination and/or production of NY Post project specific content, the Associate Content Producer will also develop skills necessary to produce engaging content, execute breaking news coverage, and coordinate content with our digital video team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate with digital video team to ensure timely delivery of cross-platform video content
  • Assist in the production of digital video segments, including, but not limited to, highlight packages, sound, features, two-way interviews and more.
  • Brainstorm, draft and pitch content ideas
  • Work closely with project specific talent and partners
  • Function quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
  • Handle the high-stress, live situations (in and out of the control room) in a positive and constructive manner with peers, management, and across teams
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a digital/sports newsroom environment
  • Thorough knowledge of sports, both locally and nationally
  • Familiarity with iNews, Cloud UX, Slack, JW Player
  • Strong understanding of digital and social work flows
  • Experience with editing platforms including Avid and Premiere
  • Positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks a must
  • Solid editorial judgment
  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Punctual, regular and consistent attendance
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Additional Information
In accordance with applicable NYC law, the estimated annual salary for this role is $47,000 - $52,000 commensurate with experience.
