Job Description
This role will support our Head of Acquisitions, Director of Acquisitions, and Manager of Acquisitions and provide additional support for other executives in the film department. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, highly responsive, and detail oriented, with a drive to be both independent and a team contributor to ensure updated progress status reports are communicated across the board for our various Film/TV projects.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the day-to-day client-facing contact, handling all requests and communication with potential clients/filmmakers.
- Schedule external & internal meetings, calls, and video conferencing with various clientele across multiple time zones.
- Creating relationships with filmmakers, producers, and other talent in order to find opportunities for collaborations with the company.
- Assessing incoming submissions of finished films and distributing as needed to the correct department in Freestyle for visibility.
- Maintaining notes for films screened that are clear, accurate, and concise descriptions of the films submitted.
- Prepping deal memos and corresponding with our legal team.
- Maintaining Google Sheets project tracking grids.
- Provide backup support to other executives as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ relevant experience (within the Entertainment Industry is a plus).
- Ability to interact comfortably and effectively with external partners and clients.
- Growth mindset with a willingness to receive and provide feedback to improve strategies and day to day responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency and working knowledge of Google Suits products.
- Must be comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects at once.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, actionable self-starter, and team player.
- BA/BS from an accredited University or College preferred.
